Dive Brief:
- Online betting company FanDuel has launched a tiered loyalty program, FanDuel Casino Rewards Club, the company announced Wednesday.
- All members of the program earn between 1 point and 3 points for every dollar they spend, which determines their tier for each month. They also receive access to a reward machine that offers a chance to earn site credit and birthday bonuses.
- Members at the second tier and higher can earn a portion of their net loss — the difference between what they won and lost with real money wagers — in the form of casino credit up to a weekly maximum, according to a support FAQ.
Dive Insight:
Though other online casinos may offer a wider breadth of potential benefits in their rewards programs, FanDuel is emphasizing transparency by clearly outlining what members earn at every tier.
One of the bigger differences in tiers is the amount of casino credit earned. Level two tier members can receive credit equal to 5% of their net loss, rising to 10% for third tier members, 15% for level four members and 25% for invite-only VIP members.
The VIP tier comes with a unique set of benefits as well, including early access to new games, luxury suite access during sporting events and concerts, and 24/7 priority support.
FanDuel isn’t the only online casino with a loyalty program, and others have their own special perks. For example, MGM’s BetMGM Rewards, which is for digital gambling, lets members redeem points for online perks or experiences at MGM’s physical properties, according to a support FAQ.
Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino lets members earn FanCash, points that can be redeemed for casino credit or sports merchandise, according to a support page. DraftKing’s Dynasty Rewards program offers merchandise discounts and events as well as gambling credit, according to the company.
FanDuel Casino Rewards Club is currently only available to customers in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
